RADIO FREE EARTH 23 - LOUIS PROWE Author of Vague Apocalyptica

Born in Andover, Massachusetts—Louis received his BA in literature and political philosophy and graduated cum laude from Northeastern University in Boston. He continued his education at the University of London-Goldsmiths, and studied Ethics, Mind, and Consciousness at the University of Edinburgh. After two decade as an intelligence contractor and corporate strategist, he relocated to rural Vermont on a 12 acre private farm with his partner Kate.

His breakout collection of essays, Vague Apocalyptica, Capitalism, Humanism, and Democracy earned him critical acclaim and the nickname of the “the Jackson Pollack of contextual analysis.: His book was also called the “One book every American should read ASAP”,  by the Huffington Post.  Louis' writing and life-work comprise a continual contemplation on meaning and purpose. He locates humanity at a critical nexus of politicised life and spiritual life where we acutely experience “distance and otherness.” In a recent interview he said, “The tension between the agrarian, earth-bound impulse and the technocratic and corporatist mentality is now fully manifest in individuals themselves. We have internalized the greatest challenge to our humanity —and each one of us must figure out where they stand on the line.  There are those who intuit our responsibility to the biosphere and those whose minds are warped by the lure of efficiency, greed and ignorance. As such, an entitled minority brazenly disregard our most intimate ethos, that of protecting one another and our resources, and instead acquire, accumulate and hoard."
